The Euro 5 compliant 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine coupled with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox delivers a powerful yet refined performance with impressive fuel efficiency, thanks to innovative high pressure injection technology. Twin scroll turbo charge reduces lag to make the 308 CC beautifully responsive to your command.

Protecting the environment and preserving the future of the planet are the greatest challenges we face today. For many years Peugeot has been innovating with the future in mind - FAP particle filter, common rail HDi technology, smaller and more efficient engines...

FAP particle filter. Every diesel engine generates particles. At Peugeot, we should know. Because we pioneered the use of particulate filters (FAP) in our diesels. FAP reduces particle emissions to barely measurable levels before they can escape into the environment. It works by trapping and burning these particles which combine to form soot. What's more, the FAP particle filter is self cleaning and is virtually maintenance free, all without spoiling the performance of your 308cc and 308 Wagon HDi.

Worried about landfill? So are we. That's why at least 95% of every new 308 is recyclable, including the metals, glass, fluids, plastic materials and rubber. And we're well on the way to creating the fully recyclable car.

Carbon sink project Our commitment to the environment extends beyond our cars. In 1998, we set up a major ecological sponsorship by helping to create a 'carbon sink' (an area of plant life specifically set aside and developed to absorb atmospheric CO2) in the Amazon. Over 2 million trees representing 50 different species have been planted, which will allow scientists to study the relationship between reforestation, absorption of CO2 and climate control. Operation Carbon reflects the determination to fight as directly and effectively as possible against the increasing greenhouse effect.

Safety

With a 5 star Euro NCAP safety rating, the 308 CC is one of the safest cars in its class. It is also the only car in its class to have 6 airbags, including the innovative side head airbags. An advanced braking system, automatic pop-up roll over hoops and Electronic Stability Program (ESP) ensure optimal occupant safety.

EBFD controls braking wheel by wheel for greater efficiency, particularly when braking in corners. EBA automatically applies more braking force in the event of sudden braking to increase the efficiency of your braking. The hazard lights are also automatically illuminated in the event of heavy braking. It's easy to see that when it comes to safety, the 308 CC has real stopping power.

The 308 CC can detect any risk of a roll-over and protect you from it in less than a blink of an eye. Extractible hoops create a passenger survival cell with windscreen pillars, cocooning you from the impact. This vital safety feature is designed especially for the 308 CC by Peugeot, the leaders in Coupe Cabriolet technology.

Our sophisticated Electronic Stability Program (ESP) can work out, in a fraction of a second, whether the 308 CC is going into a skid (understeer or oversteer) and then counteract it. It can even reduce engine power to increase the car's stability, or to apply the brakes or engine management to limit wheel spin when traction is poor.

A world first in this segment and exclusive to the 308 CC, head side airbags provide extra vital protection to ensure the head is cushioned against impact, whatever the position of your seat. The 308 CC is equipped with a total of 6 airbags to protect all parts of your body. It is the only car in its class to provide 2 front airbags, 2 side chest/pelvis airbags and 2 side head airbags built into the front seats.
